Whealagig Pinkerton is a supporting character in Heartless and the father of Catherine. He is the Marquess and the current owner of Rock Turtle Cove.
Whealagig has the Pinkerton family gift of storytelling, which his only daughter, Cath, did not inherit. Cath often turned to him for approval when her mother, Idonia Pinkerton, would disapprove of her antics.
Though he greatly disapproved of the idea of Cath opening up a bakery and even threatened to have Mary Ann fired if Cath brought it up again.
When Cath was about to marry the King, Whealagig asked her is this would make her truly happy. Cath only replied, "How different everything could have been, if you had thought to ask me that before."
