The King of Hearts from Heartless is much like the one from Alice in Wonderland. He is described as short, stout and cowardly, with white hair and 15 years elder to Catherine. He is head-over-heels for Cath and enjoys her baking, but finds it hard to express himself as his feelings aren't reciprocated. During his courtship with Cath, he often asks Jest for help and Cath begins to realize that Jest wrote it rather than the king. He doesn't seem to be well equipped to run the kingdom, but tries his best to cover up problems with parties & events.
